Found Objects

PROCESS

Collection of works developed through the deliberate reuse and recontextualisation of discarded materials, including cardboard, paper, and glass. The series investigates materiality as a form of artistic expression, exploring how objects and surfaces can acquire new functions and meanings through processes of selection and manipulation.

The work examines the relationship between authenticity and artifice, questioning the distinction between found materials and deliberately constructed representations of waste. This ambiguity is central to the collection: are these objects recovered directly from discarded environments, or are they fabricated to reproduce the appearance of discarded matter?

The collection invites a reconsideration of material value, perception, and the possibilities of reuse, demonstrating how overlooked resources can be recontextualised and transformed into active components of artistic production.

Artistic Research

PROCESS

Based on a discarded sheet of paper originating from the artist's studio practice. The page contains handwritten notes, personal reflections, questions, and spontaneous thoughts concerning the role and experience of being an artist. Originally produced as a private record, the text documents different aspects of the creative process, including uncertainty, frustration, decision-making, and the development of artistic ideas.

The installation preserves the original sheet in its existing state, retaining the handwriting, layout, corrections, crossed-out passages, and other physical characteristics of the document. These elements are treated as integral components of the work, maintaining the relationship between the original writing process and its presentation as an artwork.

Spatial Experience

PROCESS

This installation translates the intimate scale of the original FUNDAMENTALS OF ARTISTIC PRACTICES into a large-scale spatial environment. The concept for the installation emerged from a dream in which the original sheet of paper appeared enlarged to architectural proportions.

This version allows to move beneath and around it. The change in scale shifts the document from a private record of studio practice into a shared environment.

Kinetic Installation

PROCESS

Immersive kinetic installation composed of suspended fragments of synthetic glass in white, pink, and yellow. Arranged at varying heights, the elements respond to air movement and changing light conditions, producing shifting reflections, refractions, and patterns of colour across the space.

The installation incorporates audience movement as an integral component. As visitors walk or run along the pathway, air displacement causes the suspended fragments to vibrate and rotate, generating continuously changing visual compositions. The work draws inspiration from nocturnal urban environments, translating the visual dynamics of headlights, streetlights, traffic signals, and illuminated architectural surfaces into a spatial experience.
