PAINTING CLASSES "COLOR AS MATTER AND GESTURE"

These sessions invite participants into a sensory and expressive exploration of color and materiality. Inspired by artists who work with thick layers of paint and apply pure color directly onto the canvas, it focuses on freeing the gesture, embracing spontaneity, and cultivating a state of presence, intuition, and visual pleasure.

Rather than academic rules, the emphasis is on experiencing color as a living substance and allowing painting to emerge from movement, emotion, and embodied creativity. Throughout the four sessions, participants will experience color as a vibrant, immediate, and tactile material—liberating both gesture and perception. The final 1 × 1 m canvas becomes a record of an intuitive and sensorial process, closer to an inner discovery than to a technical exercise. The result is a painting that carries the body, rhythm, and energy of the creator’s own gesture.
