PAINTING CLASSES "COLOR AS MATTER AND GESTURE"
These sessions invite participants into a sensory and expressive exploration of color and materiality. Inspired by artists who work with thick layers of paint and apply pure color directly onto the canvas, it focuses on freeing the gesture, embracing spontaneity, and cultivating a state of presence, intuition, and visual pleasure. ECO-SCHOOL PAINTING WORKSHOP
Students from the Dr. Manuel Laranjeira School Group in Espinho painted waste collected from the beaches during a Plogging Challenge. These objects will be reorganized into fishing nets to be exhibited — bringing the sea into the heart of the city and reminding us that ocean preservation is a shared responsibility. Witnessing the commitment of participants to turn “trash” into singular artworks, reaffirmed a core belief of Kideo Kidō: a

The artist role in these brigades focuses on guiding the selection of collected waste — from fishing nets to plastics — ensuring its future reuse as raw material. It is along this coastline that the creative process begins for the installations that
