O MAR NÃO TEM LIMITES A VIDEO INSTALLATION
O Mar Não Tem Limites is a video installation, part of the Blue Flag artistic circuit in Espinho. This work combines environmental awareness, artistic intervention, and public reflection, encouraging viewers to consider the effects of climate change on coastal regions. The installation consists of a physical path made of sand and stones, creating a “trail” marked with human footprints of varying sizes and shoe shapes. This path symbolizes the footprints left on beaches, grad

ECO-SCHOOL PAINTING WORKSHOP
Students from the Dr. Manuel Laranjeira School Group in Espinho painted waste collected from the beaches during a Plogging Challenge. These objects will be reorganized into fishing nets to be exhibited — bringing the sea into the heart of the city and reminding us that ocean preservation is a shared responsibility. Pollution knows no borders, and neither should our commitment to change. As part of an environmental education program developed with the city of Espinho and Lipor

ART & INCLUSION WORKSHOP WITH CERCI
Transforming marine waste into art alongside the members of CERCI Espinho revealed how creativity can open spaces of inclusion, dignity, and shared purpose. These painting workshops go far beyond environmental action; they become moments of genuine human connection. By reusing materials collected from the sea, participants helped strengthen community bonds and build a bridge between ocean preservation and social impact. Together, we cleaned the beaches, reimagined discarded m

INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY
On International Museum Day, waste collected from the beaches of Espinho was transformed into an artistic manifesto. Through the workshop O Mar não tem Limites ( The Sea Has No Limits) — a space dedicated to sharing, creativity, and environmental awareness under the Blue Flag programme — participants explored the poetic potential of discarded materials. Witnessing the commitment of participants to turn “trash” into singular artworks, reaffirmed a core belief of Kideo Kidō: a

PLOGGING CHALLENGE FOR BLUE FLAG
Within the Blue Flag program and in partnership with Lipor, artist Isa Magalhães (Kideo Kidō) joined students from Eco school programs such as the Dr. Manuel Laranjeira School Group for a Plogging Challenge and Eco school action. The artist role in these brigades focuses on guiding the selection of collected waste — from fishing nets to plastics — ensuring its future reuse as raw material. It is along this coastline that the creative process begins for the installations that

FREEDOM AT ORIENTE MUSEUM
Stretching nearly 100 meters, the installation A Liberdade (Freedom) currently takes over the entrance of the Oriente Museum, in Lisbon. This large-scale textile sculpture is entirely handmade and created specifically for the 50th anniversary of April 25th, 1974, marking the establishment of democracy and freedom in Portugal. Using light as an integral element, the installation reveals a multitude of details that celebrate freedom as both an achievement and an ongoing proces

THE HOLISTICS AT ESPINHO MUNICIPAL MUSEUM
The triptych The Holistics became part of the permanent collection of the Espinho Municipal Museum — three large paintings exploring layering, stamping, and collage over abstract mixed media surfaces with sfumato drawings of angels. Inspired by the textures of urban buildings and walls, The Holistics reveal fragments worn by time, weaving an honest and grounded narrative about the city, its surfaces, and the memories they hold.
